Why we started this

Every week, real products with real users quietly go dark — a domain expires, a landing page 404s, and everything that product learned about its market disappears with it. We kept noticing good ideas buried in dead products, so we built a way to surface them: track what’s actually gone, understand why, and let AI help turn that evidence into something new — never a copy of what came before, always a different way forward.

01

Discover

We track hundreds of thousands of products from across the web, and only add a listing once we're confident it's genuinely, permanently gone — never just a bad day or a temporary outage.

02

Generate

Turn any dead product into an original idea. The AI treats the original as market evidence, not a blueprint — every deliverable has to explain how it differs: a new audience, model, or approach.

03

Build

Keep talking to the same project chat and it figures out what you need — a plain answer, a specific deliverable like pricing or a pitch, or the whole startup package end to end.

How AI turns evidence into a new idea

The original product is read for signal, not copied. Every generated idea has to land on a genuinely different angle — never just the same product with a new name.

How to use SingURLs

From a dead product to a working prompt for your coding agent — five steps, start to finish.

01

Browse or search

No login required. Explore the catalog of verified dead products, or search for one you already have in mind.

02

Generate an idea

Pick a listing and hit "Generate Idea" for a free AI teaser — an original concept inspired by what the original got right and wrong.

03

Talk to your advisor

Keep chatting in the same project thread. Ask for a specific deliverable, or just talk through the direction until it feels right.

04

Run Build Startup

Unlock the full package: PRD, feature list, database schema, backend architecture, pricing, go-to-market — generated end to end.

05

Ship it

Export ready-to-paste prompts for Claude Code, Cursor, or Lovable, and go straight from idea to a running project.

What you actually get

Every deliverable is generated from real evidence — the dead product itself — never a generic template. Pick a category to see what "Build Startup" can produce.

Strategy

The core pitch: what the new business is, why it differs from the original, and how it makes money.

Verified, not guessed

A bad week never gets a product marked gone. We only add a listing once we're confident it's genuinely, permanently done — so what you're looking at is reliable, not a guess.

Always growing

New listings are added constantly — startups, SaaS tools, apps, and side projects from across the web — so there's always something new to explore.

From every corner of the web

One dead product. Every deliverable.

Every listing here has been carefully confirmed gone — then that one verified listing is what "Build Startup" turns into every deliverable on the right.

Everywhere, all the time

A pattern that repeats everywhere

Every listing in this catalog is proof that someone, somewhere, got far enough to launch. That pattern isn't local — it plays out in every market, on the same timeline it always has: someone builds, people care, and eventually the business behind it runs out of road. AI doesn't care which timezone the next idea comes from. It only needs the evidence.

Where this is headed

SingURLs is actively growing. Here’s what we’re building toward next.

Wider coverage

Continuously expanding what we track, so fewer discontinued products slip past unnoticed.

Deeper build-out deliverables

More artifact types feeding the Build Startup workflow, from technical specs to go-to-market plans.

Sharper originality checks

Stronger guardrails so every generated idea is checked against the source product it’s inspired by, not just instructed to differ.

Frequently Asked

Do you archive or recreate the original websites?+

No. We only store concise factual metadata — name, domain, category, a short description, key dates, and an AI-generated summary. We never store or display archived HTML, and we never help anyone recreate the original product.

Does the AI generate clones of the original business?+

Never. Every generation is required to propose an original idea and explicitly explain how it differs from the original — different audience, model, or approach. The original is treated as market evidence, not a blueprint.

How do you decide a website is actually deleted?+

We never mark anything as gone after a single bad check. Every listing goes through a thorough confirmation process over time — if a site comes back, it's simply left off the list. No guesswork.

What are credits, and how do they work?+

Every AI action (generating a deliverable, chatting with your project advisor, running Build Startup) costs credits. Your plan grants a monthly allowance; unused credits do not carry over.

Can I ask for a website to be removed from the catalog?+

Yes — see our takedown policy. We review every request and will remove factual listings on legitimate grounds.

Why now

Building alone has never been this possible

The tools that used to require a team — engineering, design, copywriting, go-to-market planning — are now things one person can direct. That changes what a good idea is worth.

A few years ago, having a good idea and no team meant the idea mostly stayed an idea. Today, an AI coding agent can scaffold your backend while you're still writing the pitch. That doesn't make building free — it still takes judgment, taste, and follow-through — but it collapses the distance between "I had a thought" and "I have something running."

That shift is exactly why dead products are worth paying attention to. A product doesn't usually die because the problem it addressed went away — it dies because the timing, the team, the execution, or the business model didn't hold up. The underlying evidence that people wanted something in that space is often still sitting right there in the wreckage.

Our job is to make that evidence usable: verify a product is actually, durably gone — not just having a bad week — and then let AI treat it as a starting point, not a template to copy. The result should never be "build the same thing again." It should be a genuinely different angle: a different audience, a different price, a different wedge into the same underlying need.

None of this requires funding, a co-founder, or permission. It requires picking something real, understanding why it didn't work, and being willing to build a version that does.

The idea was never the hard part. Follow-through was. That part just got a lot more within reach.
